A HIGH-END interior design professional has given her take on Target’s decor.
She said she was able to find high-quality pieces for the home, as well as some cheap-looking products to avoid.
Maggie Williams (@maggiexwilliams) filmed himself at Target in a video on TikTok and called it “smash or pass – Target home edition.”
“I work in high-end home interior design and am currently in the Target Home section,” she said.
“There are some really good things. There are also some terrible things,” she added.
She skipped the fake flowers, saying they would spoil the overall look of the house.
“It all looks very cheap and tacky, and it won’t elevate your home at all,” she said.
“I would recommend going on Etsy and ordering some dried flowers if you want that effect,” she added.
She shared her “one exception” to her ban on fake flowers: artificial orchids.
“I own this. It’s in my kitchen, and I love it and it looks pretty real,” she said.
She also pointed out an expensive-looking item that caught her eye.
“I’ve never seen this frame before, but I love the details,” she said.
“Up close it looks really high-end and expensive.
“It’s a great size for an 8 by 10 in a bathroom or something. I absolutely love their frames. You can’t go wrong here.”
The video attracted many viewers who shared their thoughts on the tips in the comments section.
“I actually agree. I’ve always said their green is tacky. It looks cheap and looks like glossy plastic,” one person wrote.
