Although the packaging says the chocolate is new, it was originally introduced in 2022 and Nestlé quickly stopped producing the tasty treats.

However, treat lovers have now found them for a bargain at Home Bargains.

One lucky shopper snagged the deal today and rushed to social media to brag about his purchase.

They wrote: “I’m pretty sure these have been on the market before, even though the label says they are new. But still a rare find, and at that price I couldn’t say no.”

But chocolate lovers should be quick, because the chocolates sell out quickly.

According to Nestle, the product will “leave the market quite quickly” and there are no plans for it to return.

A Home Bargains employee said: “I’ve spoken to the team and these are in around 98% of our stores but they are proving very popular and selling quickly.

“We are not expecting any further deliveries at this time.”

It comes after Rowntree launched a new treat in time for Easter and fans rushed to Morrisons to stock up.

The retail giant has put a different spin on it by adding a share bag of their Randoms sweets.

Additionally, the new Terry’s Chocolate Orange flavor, which “tastes better than the original,” is generating excitement among shoppers.

Unfortunately, chocolate manufacturers are cutting back on Easter eggs and raising prices – as the cost of cocoa has hit a 40-year high.

to look for Easter eggs

With Easter fast approaching, there’s not much time left to grab a bargain on your favorite chocolate.

Retailers have been competing for the best deals on sweet treats since the start of the year.

Tesco has slashed the cost of 22 extra-large Easter eggs, including many Cadbury varieties.

For example, Clubcard customers can buy a 232g Cadbury Dairy Milk Twirl Easter Egg for £3.50.

But if you are not signed up for the loyalty program, you will have to pay a fiver.

A number of Easter eggs at Asda were reduced from 60p to their original prices of £1.25 and £1.50.

Despite Asda ending its deal offering 60p eggs on March 10, it is still the cheapest place to buy a 96g Freddo Easter egg.

It comes with a small egg and a selection of iconic Freddo chocolates inside and retails for £1.25.

Asda is selling a 190g KitKat Chunky egg carton for £3, the same as Tesco and Ocado.

Meanwhile, Morrisons and Iceland are the next cheapest option, selling these for £3.25 and £3.50 respectively.

Elsewhere, Sainsbury’s has several discounts on Easter eggs for Nectar card buyers.

This includes a large 195g Lindt Easter egg with a salted caramel golden bunny, which retails for £9 with a Nectar card, and £11 without.

Morrisons are also offering discounts and special bundles on Easter eggs and treats.
