They said the house was the ugliest house on the street, but now say it is a “beautiful house.”

The couple shared the incredible renovation TikTokwhere their videos of the trip have been viewed more than 3 million times.

Before the transformation, the ugly gray and dilapidated house was stripped of everything and looked like a ‘wreck’.

They bought the house in December 2021 and say the terrible condition the house was in was due to “cowboy builders.”

Ash said: “There was damp on the walls in every room, rotten beams and floorboards, and even sanitary fittings hanging from the walls.

“There were also leaks from old pipes and gas leaks at previous cowboy builders.

“The majority of people try to spend as little as possible on renovations to maximize profits.

“But this is our first home and we have spared no expense, we live here and wanted to create our dream home.”

The pair did much of the work themselves, but hired professionals for some of the more specialist jobs.

In total the couple spent almost £150,000 on the work, but claim the value of the house has risen to £750,000, giving them a modest profit of £10,000 if they were sold.

The renovation included removing the pebbles, restoring the brickwork and creating a front garden with a Victorian-style paved path.

They also replaced all the windows with original sash windows and removed the rotten floorboards to install a new, oak parquet floor.

Ash said: “We have also added new fireplaces in the lounge and dining room.

“We then removed the old kitchen and installed a completely new one.

“We removed the old bathroom and reinstalled a new one, including a brand new shower, bath and tiles.”

The couple also re-plastered all the walls and added paneling for character.

He said: “We then created a wall between the living room and dining room to correct the previous owner’s ‘open planned’ layout.

As Mazzina

“We have completely renovated the garden at the back, adding trees and plants and creating a new paved path and terrace.”

In the TikTok, the duo shares before and after images of the front of the house, the backyard and the kitchen.

The house used to have a plain, cream-colored exterior with white doors and windows.

The photo below shows it with the restored brickwork, a garden of flowers and a black door.

The backyard transformation goes from a pile of rubble and wood to a beautiful patio seating area surrounded by flowers and a birdbath in the center.

One person said: “You brought the character back! Looks brilliant.”

Another commented: “This is the most beautiful home reno I have seen on this app.” [sic]

While a third said: “Finally someone who has taste and gets rid of plaster instead of filling the house with plaster.”
