‘The room costs €85 per person including breakfast. It is unique and in high demand, which is why the room is fully booked well in advance…

‘Isn’t that a nice price for this view?

‘Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed, but you can ask the hotel if you can bring your little friend.’

About her activity recommendations, she wrote, “You can even borrow a sled from the cabin and ride it down. Believe me, it’s incredibly fun.

‘I advise you to walk to the hut. If you walk slowly it will take about three hours, but it is worth it. The path and the view during the walk are incredibly beautiful.’

The Dolomitenhütte website reads: ‘The pearl of the Lienzer Dolomites. The unique excursion destination in East Tyrol. A must for every visitor to Lienz and East Tyrol.

‘Easily accessible by car, with various climbing options. The sunny terrace above the rocks, like an eagle’s nest, offers beautiful sunsets.

‘The traditional and very conscious cuisine spoils everyone’s taste. Best Kaiserschmarren far and wide. Just awesome.’

The hotel also offers outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing and mountain biking.
