Eagle-eyed royal fans like to point out how similar the younger generation of princes and princesses are to their older relatives in the British royal family.

Today for example enthusiasts went wild after the Princess of Wales shared an unseen childhood snapshot of herself enjoying some family time Christmas in 1983 – with many calling Prince Louis her “twin brother.”

Kate, 41, shared the photo from the Middleton family photo album on Instagram this afternoon to promote her Christmas Carol Service, which airs on ITV at 7:45 PM on Christmas Eve.

The image was taken when the mother of three was just a month away from celebrating her second birthday the princess wears a red and blue striped dress, a navy blue vest and a multicolored beaded necklace.

She is seen looking fixated on something in the distance as she sits at the table decorated with festive tea lights.

Today, royal fans went wild after the Princess of Wales shared an unseen childhood photo of herself enjoying a family Christmas in 1983 (pictured left) – with many calling Prince Louis (pictured right at the King’s coronation) her ‘twin brother’.

The photo delighted the royal couple’s supporters – with many drawing comparisons between Kate and Prince Louis.

But this isn’t the first time a young royal has been compared to their older relative. Prince George’s resemblance to his father, Prince William, is regularly noted by fans, while Princess Charlotte is compared to her late grandmother, Princess Diana.
