Utah-based influencer Nia Liu got to work on it TikTok to document the exciting time she had at her own nesting party while pregnant with her third child – which consisted of vacuum cleaners, washcloths and dirty rags instead of lavish gifts.

A nesting party is a social event where friends and relatives of the expectant mother prepare for the arrival of the little one by cleaning, cooking and shopping.

In Nia’s case, she sent her friends a list of things to do around the house, including laundry and vacuuming, while she took on the role of “supervisor.”

Nia explained, “Every pregnant mom needs a nesting party. If you are pregnant and don’t want to have a baby shower, do this. If you have a pregnant friend, do this for them!’

In the video, she shared how the party went, saying, “So I had my nesting party last night instead of a baby shower and it was amazing.

“My friend Brie organized it. I sent her a list of things I wanted done before the baby came, and she made little cards for everyone to tackle an area of ​​the house.”

During the story, Nia filmed her trusted friends as they got stuck cleaning the house.

Later, the group sat down to enjoy a “dinner break” of soup, bread and treats while chatting about the impending bundle of joy.

“And then we went right back to work,” Nia announced. “And everything was so clean and organized and I feel so much more ready for this baby.”

The lucky mum was also treated to a wash, at the expense of her friends’ hard work.

Meanwhile, someone else went to the windows to scrub them, while another friend extensively cleaned Nia’s couch with a vacuum cleaner.

It didn’t end there. Her friends went above and beyond by bringing home-cooked frozen meals, a gift to help Nia avoid future postpartum stress.

The viral video has been viewed no less than 1.1 million times and received more than 2,000 comments.
