A Prince Harry lookalike who feared he might lose his job after Megxit says things are back to normal – and he often earns “four figures” a day.

Rhys Whittock, 39, from north Kent, says demand has skyrocketed with the Duke of Sussex’s book launch and coronation appearance.

The doppelgänger – who signed with an agency in 2017 – had thought Harry’s flight to the US in 2020 with wife Meghan Markle would kill his livelihood.

But the royals’ continued public appearances mean Rhys is working harder than ever.

Rhys said, “I was a little concerned that my job was over. But it soon became clear that they would remain in the media and public domain.

“I knew it would be fine as long as it is — and maybe it will [Harry and Meghan are] more in the spotlight than ever before.’

Rhys was stopped on the street for years and told he looked like Harry before finally signing with an agency.

He has since flown around the world for a variety of roles including TV adverts, private affairs and most recently GB News’ re-enactments of Harry’s court hearings.

Rhys can now earn over £1,000 in a single DAY in the role.

A lifelong fan of the royals himself, Rhys hopes to meet Harry one day – deeming his job “the best job in the world.”

Rhys, with fiancée Maria Bogatyreva, 26, said: ‘I’ve always been a big fan of the royal family.

‘When I was 13 I went to Trooping the Color in London and often watched the changing of the guard.

“As an adult, I got comments, pointing, and double-takes every time I went out.

“I got my first job at the lookalikes agency right before Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018 — and it exploded from there.

‘I’m a year older than Harry – I actually tell people he’s MY lookalike because I was here first!

“I love the job – I’m lucky enough to look like one of the most talked about men in the world.”

Rhys won EasyJet’s ‘Best Prince Harry Lookalike in Europe’ competition in 2018 and interest grew even further.

He flew all over the world for his work – such as a private party for a billionaire’s birthday in Macau, China, in 2018 and a TV ad in Tel Aviv, Israel, in early 2020.

But as for Harry’s lawsuit, he doesn’t believe the outcome will affect his future work.

He said: “I firmly believe there is no such thing as bad publicity – Harry and Meghan have seen good and bad over the past few years.

“But as long as Harry is on the front pages, that’s always good for me, because interest remains high. I personally owe a lot to him.’
