Schwartz admits he feels “complicated” in Sandoval and Raquel’s affair

He would like to be kept out of this story. Tom Schwartz opened up about the challenges he faced in the aftermath of Tom Sandoval And Rachel Levissaffair.

“My friend had an affair that just happened to sweep across the country and it’s incredibly messed up, but the thing is, I got caught up in it. It has become a huge source of anxiety in my life. I’ve been in this extended funk,” the 40-year-old Schwartz explained on Monday’s June 12 episode of Stars on Mars.

Recalling his own involvement in the cheating scandal, the Minnesota native added, “He had a torrid affair. It’s horrible and I feel complicit for not covering for him, but I stood by him. He came to me and confided in me that he was in love with someone else.”

Schwartz went on to say he was “permanently” moving away from the drama after reflecting on his friendship with 40-year-old Sandoval. [Sandoval’s] side of the story has been overtaken by the way he handled it,” he continued. And in the end, that’s his life. I wasn’t having an affair. I am not him. And it’s just so strange that I absolutely got caught up in this.

The co-founder of Schwartz & Sandy faced backlash after news broke in March about his business partner’s affair with their costar Raquel, 28. Schwartz, for his part, reached out to Raquel in August 2022, shortly before she announced her sparked romance with Sandoval.

A month later Us weekly confirmed the Ariana Madix learned of the affair and ended things with Sandoval, Schwartz raised his eyebrows when he asked for empathy for his BFF.

“First of all, Ariana, love you. I know you don’t love me now, but I still love you. And also, Tom, I know the whole world hates you. But I’m not going to abandon you, old friend. Even if he doesn’t deserve it, give him a hug. He’s in bad shape.’

The 37-year-old Florida resident, meanwhile, confirmed that she was no longer on good terms with Schwartz due to his continued loyalty to Sandoval.

‘I don’t think you are one [co-conspirator] but I will not have mutual friends with him. So I’m not your friend anymore,” Ariana, who unfollowed Schwartz on social media in March, said during the season 10 finale of Vanderpump Rules. “I was his ride or die and defended him – even to you. I tried to get him to drink without drinking for five days so he could get his semen tested so we could get embryos because if that’s what he really wanted I wanted him to get. I wish I hadn’t missed him, but I feel like what I’m missing isn’t real.”

After he packed Stars on Marswhich currently airs Mondays on Fox, Schwartz gave an update on where he and Sandoval are now.

“He made a big mess of it. And then you know, he left it for us to clean up the businesses. And it’s hard for me not to be mad at him,” he shared Jack Taylor And Brittany Cartwright on their ‘Reality Hits’ podcast on June 6. “I’m taking a break from Tom now. I haven’t seen him in a while.”

Schwartz went on to say that he felt “exploited” by his friend. “It seems like he has no remorse or it seems like he just doesn’t care and he’s living his rockstar dreams and being good to him,” he explained, referring to Sandoval’s current music tour amid the controversy. “I think that’s one thing I picked up from all the people in the restaurant. They just don’t understand, like the lack of regret. I know he regrets it. But he doesn’t show that very well.”

Schwartz also shared that he was no longer in the know when it comes to Sandoval’s personal life, saying, “I have no idea and it can’t make me happier, I don’t want to know any secrets.”
