iPhone owners shocked by photo of bug that completely destroys screen

A SHOCKED Reddit user has claimed their grandmother’s iPhone screen was broken because she always had it on.

A photo of the damaged phone was posted on the popular Reddit forum r/iphone.

“My grandma’s iPhone 13, I’ve never seen screen burn like this on a phone,” the Redditor wrote.

A photo accompanied the post, revealing a very faded and bleached iPhone screen.

The screen looked like a faded old photo that has been left out in the sun, not a sharp and clear iPhone screen.

“Did she just like it… Never turn off the screen or even the brightness? Lol,” someone asked in the comments.

“Yes… and I have it plugged into that temu charger 24/7. I always felt like I could boil an egg on it,” the poster replied.

“I have NEVER seen screen burn on an iPhone,” someone else wrote.

“I’ve never seen it on a phone. Only computer screens from the 80s and 90s (although I loved my screensavers!!!),” replied another.

Screen burn may occur on smartphones with OLED screens.

Some people have even reported screen burn-in issues with the iPhone 15 series Mashable.

An iOS 17.1 update was said to fix a screen burn-in issue for some users.

It’s worth taking good care of your phone so you can avoid similar problems or get hit with a hefty phone repair bill.

Do not leave your phone charged for extended periods of time.

Once it’s charged, unplug it from the wall socket.

It’s also worth not using your phone for long periods of time without a break.

This shouldn’t apply to the new iPhone’s Always-on display, which is designed to always be on without damaging your device.
