According to Downdetector, the number of reported outages for the app and website is currently more than 500.

About 25% of the problems are related to the app, 41% are related to the website and 34% are caused by people not being able to log in.

It means those who rely on the website may not be able to process a new delivery or check the status of a current one.

Many shoppers rely on their app to get discounts on products in-store, rather than carrying a physical card.

This means some shoppers may have to pay more at the checkout.

The Asda app and website experienced issues on Wednesday 28 February.

Hundreds of customers were unable to access their accounts and change orders.

It comes after the supermarket’s online shopping and rewards service last went down for hundreds of customers in June last year.
