“I was just really excited when I read that scene because… you don’t see things like that very often in mainstream movies…,” he told the outlet.

“So it’s just great that [Fennell] was allowed to push those boundaries a little and expose people in that way.’

The Euphoria star further admitted that he has largely avoided others’ reactions to the film, but did get a sense of viewers’ thoughts on the bathtub scene during a screening.

“I haven’t really heard much about it because I try to hide from it,” he explained. “But I went to a screening of the film in Brisbane when it first played and it was incredible because everyone was engaged and gasping at the screen and shouting at the screen and all that.

‘And I haven’t been in a movie like that for a long time. So I haven’t heard from the real ones yet… I mean, I hope there aren’t any horrible stories, but yeah.”
