Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey would adapt the movie 'The Office'

In a teaser clip for the Wednesday, Jan. 31 episode of the “Office Ladies” podcast, cohosts Fischer, 49, and Kinsey, 52, were asked by their guest: Break bad star Bryan Cranstonwhether they would make a potential movie based on the hit sitcom.
“So let's say there's no reboot series, but what if there was a movie?” Cranston, 67, said. “Something where we can see where these people are – these people across the cast that we're curious about. At the end we wondered: where did they go and what became of them?'
While Kinsey responded that she would “do it.” [her] kids” because “they would like that,” Fischer expressed her doubts, noting that she only trusts showrunner Greg Daniels.
It's been more than fifteen years since viewers first followed the employees of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company on The Office. “Greg is signed in on this hypothetical,” Kinsey confirmed, to which Fischer replied, “Okay, as long as Greg writes it and he's in charge of it, then I say yes.”
With this momentum, Cranston suggested that they should “get Greg on the phone.” He even offered to be an extra in this hypothetical film, playing “a cross guard or something like that.”

Inspired by the British series of the same name, The office followed paper company Dunder Mifflin in Scranton, Pennsylvania, during its nine-season run. The show revolved around manager Michael Scott (Steve Carell) and its employees, and included names like Fischer, Kinsey, who played Pam Beesley and Angela Martin respectively, as well as John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson, Mindy Kaling, BJ Novak and more.

Ever since the NBC series came to an end in 2013, fans have been hoping for a possible reboot or revival. Last year, Puck news reported that The office was returning. Daniels, 60, later addressed the idea but did not shut it down.
“Well, I think it's very speculative,” Daniels said Collider in December 2023. “The fact that it blew up based on one line in a Puck piece was kind of cool, I think, in the sense that the fans still care a lot.”
Daniels hinted that there was potential for something to happen in the future, adding, “If there is something to announce, I will definitely announce it.” He also noted that technological advances over the past decade would pose an “interesting” challenge.
“When you look at old movies, it's like a game of determining what wouldn't work if everyone had a cell phone,” he explained. “Like all the story moves from people like, 'Oh, they just missed you. Oh damn.” Maybe now I'll get on that boat and say, “Oh, how frustrating if only you had a cell phone.” I mean, it's certainly an interesting question.
