India and Taiwan have signed an MoU on Migration and Mobility, allowing Indian workers to seek employment in the island country.
Taipei: In a major step to create employment opportunities and further strengthen bilateral ties between India and Taiwan, both countries on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enable Indian migrant workers to find employment there. The MoU ensures mutual benefits for the compatriots of both countries, “creating a powerful momentum for even deeper and more fruitful cooperation.” Notably, the MoU was signed when the cash-strapped labor force in Taipei invited foreign workers beyond typical Southeast Asian sources.
“Taiwan-India relations are reaching a new high! The MOU on Facilitation of Employment for Indian Workers signed by @TWIndia2 Rep. Ger and @ita_taipei Rep Yadav,” Taiwan's Foreign Ministry posted from its official handle on X.
