And he plays a key role in promoting the fights of both WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Love Island star turned undefeated professional boxer Tommy Fury.

Before the rise of both stars, John was a renowned hardman and high-profile traveler who was behind bars three times.

These days he prefers a much quieter life, away from the bright lights of the camera, as he explained when he revealed how he spent the Christmas period alone in the woods.

And despite the success and wealth of his millionaire children, he is convinced that he himself has 'no money' and that he lives 'in a barn'.

He told Daily star sports: “All I've done in my life is work hard.

“I took the hard route. I could have done things a lot simpler, but probably never had the brains to take the easy route.

“I've never had the brains to avoid people I should have avoided, you know? But I learned it through trial and error.”

John added: “I have nothing to write home about. I have no money. I live in a barn. I drive a 30 year old car. I live on rabbit stew. I live by what I kill.

'Every now and then I make a strange, wise suggestion. But do I know everything? Absolutely not. Are there better people than me? Yes there is.

“I don't deny that. My real claim to fame is that I have two very famous sons. Multimillionaires. The rest is going well. They're all alive. I am in good health. I'm happy. I'm in a good mood.”

His son Tommy, 24, has just unveiled his new look as he continues to enjoy his wins over YouTubers Jake Paul and KSI in 2023.

Tyson, 35, was scheduled to face Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed title fight on February 17 in Saudi Arabia.

But that was called off after the undefeated Gypsy King suffered a horror cut during a sparring session.

Now a new date has been announced for the two rivals to face each other in Riyadh on May 18. If either fighter pulls out of the fight on that date, they will be fined as much as £10 million.
