Kate Chastain: Lindsay Hubbard, Carl Radke should have gotten married

Below deck‘S Captain Lee Rosbach And Kate Chastain make a great on-screen team, but that doesn’t mean their Bravo hits are exactly the same.

During an interview with We weekly at BravoCon on Friday, November 3, Kate, 40, shared her surprising reaction to Lindsay Hubbard And Carl Radke‘s shocking breakup.

“Honestly, if I was in that situation, I probably would have just gotten married and found out about it later,” the former chef joked. “Because it’s a good party.”

Kate, who was invited as a guest to the now-canceled wedding, praised Lindsay, 37, for the way she has handled the breakup, adding: “Lindsay is handling it very gracefully, and I’m sure it is in the long term for the future. best.”

Lee, meanwhile, focused on how Carl, 38, is coping with the shift in his personal life. The captain, 73, would take charge Summer house Costars’ wedding before Carl and Lindsay called it quits in August.

‘I saw Carl last night. He came to our show and we had a good time. We hung out for a while,” Lee told us. “I think his head is in a good place now, and he’s looking forward to just moving on.”

Lee is also looking forward to seeing Lindsay at the Las Vegas event, but is troubled by the crowd’s reaction to the split.

“It kind of upset me that people are actually taking sides in a situation like this because there are clearly no winners here. There’s just both sides losing,” he noted. “So to sit there and say, ‘I’m Team Carl or I’m Team Lindsay.’ Why are you going to be like this? They clearly have things to work out. Leave them alone and let them work on what they need to work on.”

Carl and Lindsay, who got engaged in August 2022, were expected to tie the knot in Mexico this month. Season 8 of Summer house initially featured their wedding preparations before Carl informed producers of their impending split.

Days later, Carl broke his silence in a letter to attendees, discussing how “devastated” Lindsay was by his decision.

“Words cannot possibly express how difficult the past two weeks have been for Lindsay and I,” he wrote in September. “We are extremely sorry to all our guests for the confusion and lack of communication. We tried to figure out exactly how this all happened before we could even have a chance to mutually determine the path forward.

Carl added: “There have been many false stories and misunderstandings which have made this all the more painful, but unfortunately we are not moving forward with the wedding at this time. The fact is, Lindsay is devastated and I am crushed by how this all happened. I kindly ask for some patience and grace to heal and recover as we navigate this extremely difficult time.

Lindsay has since told her side of the story about how “completely blindsided” she felt.

“It was absolutely humiliating. It would have been one thing if this conversation happened over the summer during the normal filming schedule,” she revealed exclusively in the latest issue of Us, is now on the default. “But for [Carl] to call up producers and then set up cameras and manipulate me into sitting down [so he could break up with me] after we had already packed up is scary. The whole world found out within 30 minutes of me.”

The publicist went on to say that she has no plans to work with Carl, adding, “Right now, I wouldn’t feel comfortable sharing a house with him after what he’s done.” I mean, this man, I can never trust him again. The way he called the producers and set up the cameras – [he] blinded me and humiliated me in such a public way. I don’t feel comfortable right now.”
