The Bundesliga team took on Eintracht Frankfurt, but comically gave away a goal.

Defender Benedikt Gimber passed the ball back to Muller with little threat from the visitors.

When the stopper tried to kick the ball away, a huge lump was lifted from the ground and bounced over his foot.

Müller could only turn and watch the ball roll into the goal as Frankfurt took the lead.

Gimber and Muller could see the funny side as they shook hands and smiled after the catastrophe.

Fans have reacted to the moment on social media, with some calling on the groundskeeper to take responsibility.

One posted: “Unbelievable.”

A second wrote: “I could see that Martian bump.”

A third commented: “The groundskeeper needs to apologise.”

A fourth said: “I don’t know how they blame the goalkeeper for it being awful.”

Another added: “One of the worst comments I have ever seen, unfair to the man would happen to anyone.”

The goal turned out to be costly for Heidenheim, as they fell behind at halftime.

Frankfurt then doubled their lead in the 49th minute through former Everton defender Niels Nkounkou.

Heidenheim did get one back when Marvin Pieringer found the net, but they could not get an equalizer.

It wasn’t the only drama in the Bundesliga this weekend, as Darmstadt’s players were shouted out by an ultra on the pitch.
