“Can we take off our clothes yet?”

It’s 10pm on Saturday and I’m drinking champagne with guests at a high-society masked sex soiree.

The air is heavy with anticipation, designer perfume. . . and desire.

Although they are eager to take off their clothes, the British manners of some partygoers prevent them from doing anything.

It’s left to an Italian stallion to take the lead, playfully lifting his partner’s elegant ball gown and spanking her bare bottom.

Welcome to one of Britain’s most popular sex parties, Killing Kittens.

For the first time, it receives its playful guests in Venice, where their daily lives are hidden behind masks and inhibitions are released at the door.

Inspired by the region’s 16th century masked balls, KK has thrown the ultimate erotic experience into the iconic floating city.

For centuries, Venice has attracted romantics and lotharios alike.
Legendary lover Casanova walked these streets in the 18th century, and Lord Byron fled here in 1816 after one too many sex scandals in England.

It’s the perfect place to lose yourself in the company of someone else.

I arrive at the end of the carnival season, together with 100 guests who have flown in from all over the world.

As The Sun’s Sexpert, I’ve been given exclusive access to find out what happens behind closed doors.

“We have four games rooms tonight,” explains KK founder Emma Sayle as she gives me a private tour of the venue before the debauchery begins.

“After a few hours, the masks come off and the guests trickle into the side rooms.

“There are a lot of bisexual girls here tonight, so you’ll see a lot of girl-on-girl action.

“You also see orgies and guests walking around and watching. It’s a thousand shades of gray.”

Emma tells how she is no longer impressed by what she sees at her sex parties, which often take place in lavish locations, usually in trendy penthouses or country houses.

“You have sixty people naked on a bed like Dante’s Inferno, which is pretty wild, but to me that’s pretty average.

“It happens at every party.”

KK has seen a “huge increase” in the number of British mums in their late 30s and 40s attending their raunchy events – and many are here tonight.

“There are a lot of divorced mothers who think, ‘We’re not on the shelf, we have a fire in us, we have passion, we have wants and needs,’” continues Emma, who is friends with Kate Middleton.

“It’s about being unapologetically selfish in the bedroom.

“We have desires, we are not invisible, as people think we are. They want to come and explore and they have disposable income.

“Sex is no longer about reproduction. It’s about pleasure. It’s about our time.

“We are more financially independent, which means we can leave behind spouses and unhappy marriages.

“We don’t have to stay in it.”

This applies to mum-of-five Lily, 40.

The customer service representative from London tells me she has been a member of the KK for five years, but this is her first foreign sex party.

“My partner is at home with the children, because it is the summer holidays,” says Lily, laughing.

“We respect each other and supervise.

“If he’s going to meet someone, or if I’m going to meet someone, we’ll make sure we’re okay.

“Every couple has their ups and downs, but we make sure nothing rocks the boat.”

Lily tells how she was “looking for adventure” when she signed up to KK, but ended up meeting her partner at a party in London and the couple now have a three-year-old son.

“He came to a party with another woman, ahem,” Lily says, laughing again.

“She’s in our friend group, so it wasn’t like I was stealing anyone. Here at Killing Kittens we love to share!

“We met for the first time that night and never parted. I didn’t expect this in my life.

“I have four children from my previous marriage and my partner has now adopted them as well. It is the best.

“I’m so excited for tonight.

“The glamor and elegance of the party in Venice is a level above that of London mansions. It is a unique experience.”

I was at a party in London once and a panicked girl rushed up to me and said, ‘S***, I just saw my uncle!’

Back to tonight and the guests are eager to start stripping.

“It’s a herd mentality,” says Emma. “People don’t want to be the first to do it, but once other people shake that off, they will too.”

Emma explains how everyone must arrive with a mask and leave it on for two hours until the drinks end.

Other rules include no telephones and women being in charge.

“Men can’t approach women they don’t know,” she continues. “It’s the females first. It’s a kitten’s world.”

KK community manager Tash, 40, a mother from Winchester, Hants, tells me why masks are a must.

“It is to ensure privacy,” she explains. “I was at a party in London once and a panicked girl ran up to me and said, ‘S***, I just saw my uncle!’.

‘Luckily she was wearing a mask so he didn’t notice.

“We put her in a dark corner and told her to keep her mask on.”

With that, the drinks are over and it’s time for me to remove the extravagant green plumage that hides my face.

But other guests at the 650 euro ticket event are starting to lose much more. . .

I turn around and see a glamorous middle-aged blonde woman dressed in a royal Venetian costume from the 16th century.

She looks like she stepped straight out of Netflix bonkbuster Bridgerton.

“I’m getting a little hot under the collar in more ways than one,” she says, laughing.

In the neighborhood I meet shy newbie Ed, a 32-year-old banker from London.

“The last time I wore this suit was at my grandmother’s funeral,” he says. “It feels a little inappropriate to wear it tonight.”

“Each room is like an exhibition from a museum. I had no idea what to expect.”

It’s now midnight – and for these guys the fun is just beginning.

In every corner, couples and groups writhe with pleasure.

Synchronized cries of ecstasy echo through the three-story Venetian penthouse

“It’s so liberating,” says Lady Jada, 43, a designer and mother of one from Australia, as she sips a cocktail.

“We are more than just mothers and housewives.”

Lady Jada tells me how she joined the KK ten years ago. “I find the events incredibly stylish and safe,” she says.

“I have made a lot of friends in the community and enjoy the sex chats on the app. It is very educational.”

She admits she is “really disappointed” that her partner couldn’t be there tonight.

“We have an open relationship and he loves that I go to these parties,” she continues.

“He finds it very sexy and kinky.

“He definitely wants to come with me as a guest.

“But he’s been replaced by some excellent eye candy,” she says with a giggle, nodding toward the muscular guard.

At 2 a.m. a gigantic orgy unfolds in one of the red Renaissance rooms.

Elaborate masks – plus expensive and striking Louboutin shoes with red soles – are scattered on the floor.

In the morning, the guests return to their usual characters: mothers greeting other parents at the school gate and talking about their little darlings.

Yet tonight, for a brief period, they escaped the confines of marriage and motherhood and were unapologetically selfish.

Until next month, when they put on their masks and meet again
