The King’s decision to expand the guest list for Christmas at Sandringham was not met with universal festive joy. Making room for Queen Camilla’s children and grandchildren means that some employees are dissatisfied.

They have been told to give up their rooms to accommodate the visitors, dividing it into smaller quarters and even sharing rooms.

At least Prince Andrew and Fergie won’t be temporarily evicting anyone.

They are billeted at nearby Wood Farm Cottage, where they drive for meals and church.

“We kept saying, ‘Put your clothes on, no one ever wants to see that,’” Sherrie whines. “But he had the freedom to… dangle.”
