Kristen Stewart Teases Her Sex Scenes in Upcoming Lesbian Thriller Love Lies Bleeding Will ‘Shock People’
Kristen Stewart has hinted that her sex scenes in upcoming lesbian thriller film Love Lies Bleeding will “shock people.”
The actress, 33, is gearing up for the release of the LGBTQIA+ romance film, in which her star is the reclusive Lou alongside Katy O’Brian’s character Jackie.
The film, out in March, is set in the 1980s and follows gym manager Lou and bodybuilder Jackie as they form feelings for each other after a chance meeting.
And Kristen has teased that the queer thriller will contain sex scenes that will “shock” people, as she criticized intimate moments on screen as almost mechanical.
“They’re not taking off their clothes, but this is going to shock people,” she said Variety Magazine in a new interview.

Kristen has teased that the queer thriller will feature sex scenes that will “shock people,” as she criticized intimate moments on screen as almost mechanical.
“All you ever see is a dress coming up and a head going down. I think even straight sex on film is so routine… No one really wants to reveal themselves.”
Kristen also said she found it “really sexy” to portray a more masculine character, instead of the traditionally feminine roles that brought her into the spotlight.
She explained, “There was something about really glorifying the things I found attractive.
“It was really sexy, and I don’t mean from an outsider’s perspective, it made me feel excited, and it was cool to have people witness that.”
Love Lies Bleeding is the second feature film by writer and director Rose Glass, which she co-wrote with Weronika Tofilska.
The thriller follows Lou (Kristen) and Jackie (Katy) as they form an electric romantic bond, but Lou’s father’s violent business dealings soon begin to affect their relationship.
The synopsis reads: “Reclusive gym manager Lou falls hard for Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder who moves across town to Vegas to pursue her dream.
“But their love fuels violence and draws them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family.”
Love Lies Bleeding features a slew of stars joining the cast, including Dave Franco, The Hunger Games’ Jena Malone, and Anna Baryshnikov.

The film follows Lou (Kristen) and Jackie (Katy) as they form a romantic bond, but Lou’s father’s violent business dealings soon begin to affect their relationship.
Kristen is engaged to Dylan Meyer. The Twilight star and the screenwriter first met during a film shoot in 2013, and the two crossed paths again years later, thanks to a shared friend.
The film will make its global premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, before an official release scheduled for March 8, 2024.
Kristen’s upcoming projects also include starring opposite Steven Yeun in the science fiction novel Love Me.
Kristen is currently engaged to Dylan Meyer. The Twilight star and the screenwriter first met during a film shoot in 2013, and the two crossed paths again years later, thanks to a shared friend.
“The day I met her, it was like all bets were off,” Kristen said during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in November 2019.
