Lady Gaga teases collaboration with Fortnite Festival
JUST a few years ago, Lady Gaga openly admitted that she had no idea what Fortnite even was.
Despite being one of the most popular games in the world, the international pop sensation didn't even know how to spell the name.
Now she will appear live on the Fortnite stage for players around the world.
Here's everything you need to know about Lady Gaga's collaboration with Fortnite.
Is Lady Gaga participating in Fortnite Festival?
Yes, Lady Gaga will appear in Fortnite as part of Fortnite Festival and will add new Lady Gaga songs to the playlist.
So far we know that Poker Face and Bad Romance will be included, but more are likely to follow.
We also expect Lady Gaga to perform a concert on the big stage where people can attend and watch live.
There is no news on when the event will take place, but it is likely towards the end of the next season, which starts Thursday February 22, 2024.
Is Lady Gaga getting a Fortnite skin?
There has been no announcement of a new Fortnite skin for Lady Gaga yet, but there is still a lot of time before the event.
Previous singers, most recently rapper Eminem, had new skins for their events, so we expect Lady Gaga to have some too.
Fortnite Festival features unique skins that you can't get in other parts of the game, so we expect them to appear here.
What is Fortnite Festival?
Fortnite Festival is one of Fortnite's newest game modes where you can play songs similar to Rock Band with friends.
You enter the stage alone or with a group of friends and play covers of iconic songs by Nine Inch Nails, Florence and The Machine and U2, among others.
A special guitar controller was unveiled in January, but it isn't available for purchase yet.
What is the Lady Gaga Fortnite meme?
In 2019, Lady Gaga had a viral tweet that read, “What is a fortnight?” which received almost 1 million likes.
She recently retweeted this with the message “*fortnite,” showing that she has since heard about the game.
This tweet was accompanied by an image showing that the pop star would be arriving at Fortnite Festival.
