Priyanka Chopra Jonas has the perfect dish to upgrade your next movie night.
The Citadel actress, 41, exclusively shares how she makes her delicious Mumbai Nights popcorn recipe, created through her collaboration with Rob's Backstage Popcorn, in the latest issue of We weekly. “I wanted one [seasoning] reminiscent of home, and the Indian Spice Mix creates a feeling of warmth and warmth that builds over time, reminding me of the warm and humid nights of seductive Mumbai,” says Chopra Jonas.

Mumbai Nights popcorn
Serves 1
Ingredients
For popcorn on the stove
- 3 tablespoons neutral oil
- ½ cup popcorn kernels
For Indian Spice Mix spice mix
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup salt
- 1 tbsp sodium citrate
- ½ tbsp coriander
- ½ tablespoon of fenugreek
- ½ teaspoon red pepper
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ tbsp onion powder
- ½ tbsp garlic powder
- ½ tablespoon of turmeric
- ½ tbsp red paprika powder
- ½ tbsp carrot powder
Instructions
1. Add oil to a pan and place the pan on the stove over medium heat.
2. Let the oil heat for about 1 minute (or until the oil is gently bubbling), then add the popcorn kernels and cover the pan with a lid.
3. Pop the pellets for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the popping sounds are 2 to 3 seconds apart.
4. Pour the freshly popped popcorn into a paper bag and leave on the counter.
5. Mix the Indian Spice Mix spice mixture.
6. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of Indian Spice Mix into the paper bag. Fold the top of the bag over and shake vigorously until the spices are evenly distributed over all the popcorn pieces.
7. Open the bag and enjoy!
