SHOPPERS are thrilled to have discovered a spread in their local Lidl stores that tastes “like the inside of a Kinder Bueno”.
The product will only be sold by the supermarket chain for a limited time, during a week-long celebration of Italian flavors.
Chef and cooking instructor Anthony O’Shaughnessy shared a photo of the hazelnut milk cream spread, called “Crema spalmabile al latte e nocciole,” with X on Sunday.
He wrote: “Lidl is having their Italian week and they have this on offer: hazelnut milk spread. It’s divine. Like the inside of a Kinder Bueno. Stirred well into my morning oats.”
Other shoppers shared in his excitement.
One person said: “Right, I’m going to Lidl!!”, to which Anthony replied: “Give me another jar while you’re at it! I’m out!!”
Another person said: “I got some of these yesterday, looks divine.”
And someone else wrote: “Yeah, okay, I’ll take this.”
The 190g tub of spread can only be bought in store and costs £1.99.
It comes during Lidl’s “super flavor of the week: Italy”, which started on February 29.
Other products sold under the promotion’s umbrella include cured ham, Italian salami, regional Italian cheese, Antico Frantoio extra virgin olive oil oiland a selection of quality pastas.
A Facebook user shared a photo of the product to the Facebook group Snack Reviews on Friday, and the post attracted hundreds of comments.
One person wrote: “I got some today. It’s the inside of a bueno. I’m not sharing.”
Another said: “I actually had a lot of that stuff yesterday Nice X.”
Lidl shoppers are also raving about the chain’s new range of pink kitchen appliances, including a baby pink toaster for £24.99.
The release came after the discount supermarket unveiled its popular leopard print range, consisting of a kettle for £24.99, a cutting board, a drinking bottle and a set of knives.
Lidl also recently launched new sweet-smelling candles that shoppers can transport to bakeries with aromas such as “cinnamon swirls” and almond croissants.
One mother, Kerry, shared it news by the range to TikTok and advised other shoppers not to sleep on the products.
”For the babes who love scented candles… Run to Lidl,” she urged her video.
Parents are now rushing to Lidl for the newly restocked waterproof trousers – a winter essential for kids that will keep little ones warm and dry in wet weather.
In a video, mom Jen said: “This cheap rain/mud to take are back in stock at Lidl.”
She then showed the pants – equipped with suspenders so that they stay in place all day – in the colors green, pink polka dot and navy blue.
The pants cost €6.99 and range in size from toddler to eight years.
Lidl also sells raincoats for €8.99.
