little Jon is not only an experienced rapper, music producer and DJ, but also a home renovation enthusiast.
The musician, 53, works with an interior designer Anitra Mecadon to help people create the space of their dreams on HGTVs Lil Jon wants to do what?, which wrapped its second season earlier this month. Now the duo is exclusively sharing their best decorating tips and tricks Us.
While Lil Jon’s design ideas for the show can be daring, such as transforming a basement into a chic club and building a DJ station for a client’s child, Mecadon said sometimes it’s better to focus on simplicity.
“Do you want a giant pool table, a couch made from an old Cadillac, or a four-foot disco ball shimmering around your space?” she says in the last issue of We weekly. “It all sounds great, but will it fit? You have to make your space work for you, and if it’s too big to fit in the door, it won’t come into the room.”
Lil Jon, for his part, explains Us that the key to creating a “good atmosphere” lies in following the feng shui of a space. “It’s a great place to start if you’re thinking about designing a room,” he says.
