Former 60 Minutes reporter Liz Hayes reflected on the moment she interviewed actor Hugh Grant after his scandalous tryst with a sex worker in 1995.
The journalist, 67, said the Hollywood star, 63, appeared to have suffered ‘worldwide pain’ because of his ‘personal indiscretion’.

She added: “He turned up unescorted. He didn’t seem to need a group of people around him. I felt he was somewhat beaten.”
Hugh and former prostitute Divine Brown were both arrested on June 27, 1995 for sexual acts in public.
Officers were drawn to Hugh’s car because they noticed his brake lights flashing on and off as the driver pushed his foot on the pedal.

She and her then-partner also bought a four-bedroom house in Beverly Hills.
