Lori Vallow Daybell extradited to Arizona

Lori Vallow Daybell, who is serving consecutive life sentences in Idaho for the murder of two of her children after being inspired by what prosecutors called her “doomsday” beliefs, has been extradited to Arizona to face charges of conspiracy to commit murder in two other cases.

Sheriff’s deputies from Maricopa County, Ariz., accompanied Ms. Vallow Daybell, 50, on the 18-hour drive from the jail in Pocatello, Idaho, to the Estrella jail in Phoenix, where she was booked late Wednesday evening, the sheriff’s office said. In February 2020, Ms. Vallow Daybell was arrested in Hawaii on a warrant issued by authorities in Idaho after, they said, she failed to cooperate with efforts to find the missing children.

In June 2020, investigators found human remains buried on Mr. Daybell’s property in Idaho, which were later identified as belonging to his wife’s missing children. He was arrested and charged with concealing evidence.
