Littler, who turned 17 on Sunday, was awarded a whopping £200,000 for losing the final to Luke Humphries at the Ally Pally.

And then earned £20,000 for beating Michael van Gerwen in the World Series final last Friday.

He had only played in one PDC senior tournament prior to the World Cup, reaching the last 64 of the UK Open in early March 2023.

According to oche statistics gurus Darts Oracle, Littler has thrown 3,746 darts and earned £222,500.

That means he has earned a whopping £59 per dart thrown.

Former BDO world champion Glen Durrant believes Littler can WIN the Premier League on his debut when it kicks off on February 1.

Speaking about the tournament starting in Cardiff, Durrant said: “He is good enough to go and win it. It is scary.

“We are witnessing something very special and I think we should just enjoy it.

“I promised myself not to talk about his age, because he is just a member of his generation. I couldn't keep the smile off my face as I looked at him.

“What impresses me most is not the nine-darters, I know he can do that. It's not the high averages, I've seen him do that, it's the level of maturity he shows.”

“It's an incredible story and absolutely wonderful for the game of darts.

'I have more advice for the people around him: he will be away from home six days a week. But at sixteen all I wanted to do was play darts. So I have no fear for the health and well-being of a teenager traveling and frolicking around Europe.”
