Teen decides to ‘teach’ 8-year-old girl, kills and keeps body in plastic bag

In a case of great frivolity, an eight-year-old girl was murdered by strangulation by an underage boy who wanted to ‘teach her a lesson’ because he was teasing him. The girl was murdered and then her body was placed in a plastic bag and kept in an unused room in the chawl.

A teenage boy allegedly killed an eight-year-old girl, his neighbor in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, because he was angry with her for teasing him, police said. The incident took place on December 1 during a chawl in Pelhar village and the crime came to light after the girl’s body was recovered three days later. Police on Wednesday booked the boy from Jalna district for the murder and arrested his father on charges of trying to dispose of the victim’s body, an official said. The accused boy is 16 years old, the official from Pelhar police station in Vasai taluka said.

“The girl went missing last Friday after leaving home to buy ice cream. Her relatives later reported her missing and the police started a search, but in vain. On December 4, her badly decomposed body was recovered in a plastic bag from a vacant room in the same chawl,” the official said. Following this, the police registered a case against unidentified persons under Sections 363 (kidnapping), 302 (murder) and 201 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) (due to which evidence of crime has disappeared) and sent the body to a government hospital for post-mortem. , he said.

Boy killed to ‘teach’ girl for teasing

During the investigation, police discovered that a 16-year-old boy from the same group had been missing since the body was found, the police official said. “During the investigation, police discovered that the teenage boy was involved in the crime and a deeper investigation confirmed that he had killed the girl himself,” he said. “During his interrogation, he told police that he was annoyed with the victim because she was teasing him and that he wanted to teach her a lesson. On December 1, he sensed an opportunity to do so when she stepped out of the house alone at night.

He dragged her into his house and strangled her to death,” the police official added. But not knowing what to do with the victim’s body, he hid it in their house for two days and later entrusted it to his father. The duo later shifted the body to an empty room in their chawl, he said. Investigation revealed that the girl’s slippers were found at the entrance to the suspects’ room, raising suspicions about their role. It also came to light that the man had sent his teenage son to his hometown in Jalna district after the body was recovered, he said, adding that a police team later arrested the boy there and took him to Pelhar. Further investigation into the matter is underway, he said.
