A make-up expert has revealed the incredible contouring trick she uses to completely eradicate her double chin – as she hits back at cruel trolls who mocked her size and told her to ‘hit the gym’.
Courtney Worsham, from the Pacific Northwest region of the US, is a makeup enthusiast who often shares her extensive expertise on her social media platforms, sharing tutorials, product reviews and other beauty tips.
After receiving a nasty comment from a hater about her appearance last month, Worsham showed her viewers how she contours to hide a double chin in an epic response to Instagram Reels.
In the video, which was set to Demi Lovato’s song Confident, Worsham started by applying a cream contour stick to the area under her chin, near the nape of her neck.

US-based influencer Courtney Worsham filmed her incredible contouring hack for Instagram
Worsham, who goes by the username @cakefaced_courtney, often uses social media to share her beauty tips, tricks and product reviews
Her favorite contour product was the elf Halo Glow, which retails for just $9.00.
She then used a flat-top brush to blend the contours towards her cheeks, near her ears and down to her neck.
To top it all off, she used a beauty blender sponge to seamlessly complete the look, leaving a fully blended, flawless-looking result.
Worsham cut the video to give viewers a look at the final product, which featured a bold berry lip, a deep brown smoky eye, and long, sultry lashes.
Of course, she also showed off the end results of her blending efforts, which completely changed the look of her face and gave her a super sharp and incredible looking jawline.
“This is an arm workout, right?” Worsham jokingly subtitled the role.
In the comments section of the video clip, many users defended her against the rude comment Worsham responded to in the video.
“The comments here are so disrespectful and insulting.” wrote one person. ‘You are beautiful and I am inspired by this little makeup hack! Thanks for showing up and posting despite the backlash you’re getting!’

At the end of the clip, Worsham showed off the finished product: a stunning, sharp-looking jawline
Another person agreed: ‘You are absolutely gorgeous. People are the worst.’
‘Why do so many people associate the chin with fat? I know so many short people with the same chin and I’m plus size and don’t have one…’ someone else typed.
‘You are beautiful!’ said one TikTok user. ‘Don’t listen to the haters!’
“I’m really annoyed by the people who keep saying mean things,” said another user. ‘Grrr arggg!! You’re beautiful and I love watching your videos!’
However, one person claimed she looked like a ‘catfish’ because of the amount of makeup used.
“Catfish big time lol,” they wrote.
“I just don’t understand why we feel the need to cover up every mistake,” someone else wrote. “Hey, we’re human, let it be.”
In another video posted to her YouTube channel six months ago, Worsham gave a more in-depth tutorial, titling the clip: How to Lose 50 Pounds With Makeup.
Before she starts, she likes to look down to create a ‘more prominent’ double chin, then ‘outline’ it, moving up towards the jawline.

“Pretty much wherever I have the double chin, I’ve done the contouring there,” she explained.
Worsham said you didn’t want to see any skin, just contours. She then used a thick brush to blend everything together.
“I just tap it in and try to keep it concentrated in the same area so it doesn’t spread everywhere,” she explained.
“You don’t want it to fade too much, but you don’t want it to be too dark either.”
If it gets too dark, she likes to put a little foundation in the beauty blender and blend it on top, so that it looks a bit more natural.
However, it seems Worsham isn’t the only person who has come up with a similar solution for a double chin.
In October 2021, a dentist unveiled something he calls the “meow technique,” which he claimed was used by celebrities on the red carpet to hide their double chins.
Dr. Vikas Prinja, a London-based oral surgeon, explained that the technique involved closing the mouth, causing the lower teeth to be behind the upper teeth, and flattening the tongue down to the roof of the mouth.
“This technique is called meowing,” Dr. Vikas explained in a video. ‘It should create a stronger jawline, more defined cheekbones and perhaps even straight teeth.
“It should work by bringing the tongue to the top of your mouth, which stops your cheeks from squeezing in and narrows your upper jaw.”
However, he noted that not too much research had been done on the phenomenon.
