Man found dead on the street in Waverley, in Sydney’s east
A man has been killed on a quiet street in Sydney’s east as police investigate.
Emergency services were called to Fletcher Street in Waverley just after 4am on Sunday after a man, believed to be in his 20s, was found seriously injured in the road by a passer-by.
NSW Ambulance paramedics were unable to revive the man and he died at the scene.
It is clear that he suffered injuries to his upper body.
An investigation has been launched after a man was found dead on Fletcher St (pictured) in Waverley, in Sydney’s east, early on Sunday morning.
Police officers set up a crime scene, with officers from the Crash Investigation Unit (CIU) called in to assist with the investigation.
Motorists are advised to avoid Fletcher Street between Glen Street and Silver Street
The man has not yet been identified.
