Mariah Carey showed off her chic sense of style as she stepped out in New York on Saturday ahead of her performance at Madison Square Garden.

The We Belong Together singer, 54 – who recently dropped a surprise music video for hit All I Want For Christmas – flashed a bright smile as she left the Salon de Ning at the Peninsula Hotel.

The artist wore a black cut-out shirt tucked into the waist of a black leather miniskirt.

She paired the monochrome look with a black Chanel sweater that shimmered under the bright lights.

Carey donned sheer black tights as well as black closed-toed heels and added $1,050 Chanel leg warmers for a luxurious flair.

Her locks were parted in the middle and flowed effortlessly straight down her shoulders.

Mariah accessorized her outfit with a glittering silver necklace and a pair of large black sunglasses.

The beauty added a warm blush to her cheekbones and a glossy, light pink shade to her lips for the outing.

Carey recently opened up to Fashion last month in November about how she dresses for the holidays.

“My idea of ​​holiday dressing has always been about glamorous styles that really complement the season in a fun and festive way.”

The singer continued to the outlet, “I love selecting looks that feel like their own party moment.”

The mother of two had a big smile on her face as she stepped onto a busy sidewalk shortly before her expected concert at Madison Square Garden in the heart of the city.

Before taking the stage, she shared a photo on her main Instagram page to show off a beautiful dress and special merchandise items available to fans.

The star dazzled in a figure-hugging, strapless red dress that clung to her body and featured a skirt that flowed down and around her.

Her long hair was parted in the middle and fell in elegant curls past her shoulders.

She added glittering, silver dangling earrings and chunky, sparkling bracelets to complete the overall look of the concert.

Notably, she started her Merry Christmas One And All! tour on November 15th and ends on December 17th as we visit Madison Square Garden once again.

In addition to New York City, Mariah will also perform in cities such as Boston, Philadelphia and Baltimore during the remaining dates.

When speaking to GMA, she also reflected on the song’s legacy and reminisced about the making of the track.

“I was just working on it… on this little Casio keyboard and writing down words and thinking, ‘What do I think about at Christmas? What do I love? What do I want? What do I dream about?’ she explained. “And that’s how it started.”

“My goal was to do something timeless so it didn’t feel like the ’90s when I wrote it.”

In addition to hitting the road for her tour, Mariah is also kicking off the holidays with her twins — whom she shares with ex Nick Cannon.

“My kids and I have perfected our ultimate Christmas celebrations, and we try to stick to them every year,” the Obsessed singer told Vogue.

“Our favorite traditions are: a nighttime sleigh ride, seeing Santa Claus, opening presents under the tree, playing in the snow, cooking our family recipes and, most importantly, spending time together.”
