Married at First Sight Lauren and Orion reunite to discuss divorce

After a divorce, Married at first sight Laurens And Orion are ready for some tough discussions about what went wrong in their marriage Us weekly exclusive sneak peek of this week's episode.

“I don't have any lingering animosity toward you or toward anything that happened,” Lauren tells ex-husband Orion in the Wednesday, January 24, clip.

The couple got married when they met at the altar in early May Married at first sight season 17. However, they didn't make it to Decision Day, when other couples on the Lifetime reality show decide whether to stay married or get divorced eight weeks after the wedding. Instead, they decided to divorce shortly after moving in together.

The season 17 couple was the second of the five couples to divorce just after 13 days of being married. This makes them the second shortest marriage ever Married at first sight history after a MAFS season four couple split after 10 days.

The clip flashes back to five weeks ago, when the couple was still married and discussing the issues they were having, especially what seemed appropriate to say and what they joked about. “I don't think jokes about each other's backgrounds and cultures are okay. I wouldn't do that to you,” Orion explained to Lauren.

That conversation led the couple to figure out what would be best for them moving forward — which turned out to mean an end to their relationship. “I want to continue with my divorce wish,” Orion told the stoic Lauren.

“It was refreshing to be able to take a step back and take emotions out of everything and step back and look at it from a bird's eye view,” Lauren describes to Orion about her post-divorce perspective.

This is clear from the conversation between Lauren and Orion, who get along pleasantly and talk about their new perspectives after their relationship. “I'm starting again with yoga and meditation and singing bowls,” Lauren continues. “It feels good to get back into the rhythm of things.”

The Denver couple suffered whiplash before finally agreeing to a divorce. Orion told Lauren they were done on their honeymoon, but on the way home asked if the couple wanted to try again. Lauren wanted to continue trying to work on their marriage, but after the two lived apart, Orion said he wanted a divorce.

However, in the clip, it looks like the pair are on their way to being on friendly terms, even though Orion politely declines Lauren's wish to have a conversation about everything at a later date.

Married at first sight Season 17 airs Wednesdays at 8 PM ET.
