Married At First Sight star Hayley Vernon has celebrated another sobriety milestone.

The adult actress, 37, told her Instagram fans on Sunday that she had not drunk alcohol for five weeks and not used the illegal drug cocaine for 14 weeks.

'Happy Sunday lovely people – I'm going to Pilates this morning, but I've hit a drinking milestone. I haven't touched any bags since I was last in Europe, fourteen weeks ago,” she wrote proudly.

Hayley went on to share how proud she was of herself for resisting temptation, writing: “I feel like every bit the woman I know I am.”

'If I don't use social, I am ten times more effective [a] human, focused and goal-oriented.'

She then shared a poignant question to any followers who may have used substances this weekend.

“If you spent the weekend doing it, ask yourself, 'Why?' Was it worth going out and taking the piss or hitting the bags? What did you win?' She asked.

It comes months after Hayley gave another update on her sobriety journey.

In July, Hayley announced on Instagram that she had not used cocaine or alcohol in ten weeks.

When asked for comment, Hayley told Daily Mail Australia that getting sober was the best decision she ever made.

'Let's face it: most adults use cocaine recreationally; it is more common than alcohol these days. What I realized [is] that it doesn't serve me or what I want from life – it's actually stealing my happiness,” she said.

'The best thing I've done in my 36 years is quit alcohol, let's talk about that. Alcohol, in my opinion, does more damage than anything,” she added.

Hayley has made no secret of her past struggles with alcohol, cannabis and crystal meth throughout her MAFS journey.

She started using drugs when she was just 16, but dropped her bad habits before joining MAFS in 2020.

It seems she decided to quit cocaine around the same time she split from her mystery boyfriend in May.

Hayley announced the couple's split in an emotional Instagram post, writing: 'Saying goodbyes is never easy. I spoke to him last night to finish the chapter and file it away.”

“Lots of tears, but it's something I had to do. I had to say what I felt and this morning it makes me feel lighter.”

Hayley went on to say that she was grateful for the lessons the relationship had taught her.

“He taught me how to be loved and I will forever be grateful for that: the right person at the wrong time and it will take some time to heal from it.”

Hayley explained that she has been keeping a diary to help cope with the breakup.
