SHOPPERS are devastated after learning an iconic chocolate bar will not be included in this year’s Mars Easter line-up.

It looks like fans won’t be getting their hands on a Bounty dark chocolate bar that normally comes in the Easter Bounty chocolate egg carton.

Fans were heartbroken last year to hear that the iconic chocolate bar had been discontinued.

Mars said at the time that the bar had been temporarily discontinued, but the fan favorite has since disappeared from store shelves.

The decision sparked widespread public outrage, with people venting on social media.

One X, formerly known as Twitter, said: “Horrible news this afternoon.”

Another said: “I’m actually devastated by the news that Mars has permanently discontinued Dark Chocolate Bounty!”

“The dark chocolate version is much better than the regular one.”

Piers Morgan was among the fans who took to social media to call on Mars to change his decision.

He said: “I’ve just been told that my favorite Bounty bars with dark chocolate red wrappers have been discontinued, and this is the last one left in my dressing room stash.”

“I am furious. This will cause immeasurable damage to my mental health. Please reconsider.”

Since the announcement, fans have been scouring store shelves to see if they can get their hands on the iconic bar.

One X user asked: “Why can’t I find bounty chocolate bars in the UK?”

A spokesperson for Mars Wrigley UK told The Sun: “It’s true, Bounty Dark has been temporarily axed, but there’s still plenty to like for our Bounty fans in this year’s Easter line-up.”

“Our classic Milk Bounty treats are here to stay… but true fans better get their coconut fix soon when a CELEBRATIONS Easter Mix opens!”

Mars has not yet confirmed if and when the dark chocolate bar could make a comeback.

Many fans are still mourning the loss of another Mars treat, the discontinued Milky Way Crispy Rolls.

Mars confirmed that the chocolate bar was being discontinued in 2022, but they only hit store shelves this month.
