Massive fire breaks out at Forest Gate police station, with residents told to close windows as 125 firefighters battle the inferno – The Sun
A HUGE fire has broken out at a police station in the capital.
Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters are currently battling the inferno on Romford Road, Forest Gate, East London.
Part of the stationincluding the roof, is currently on fire.
Large plumes are choking the area and locals are advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
The London Fire Brigade said: “The brigade was called at 4.17pm.
“Firefighters from Stratford, Leytonstone, Plaistow and surrounding fire stations are at the scene.
Road closures are in place and people are advised to avoid the area while the incident continues.”
