My facial contouring method adds instant volume so you don't look like Skeletor

WRINKLES are not the only obvious sign of aging on the face.

A professional makeup artist has shared her trick to add instant volume and enhance your appearance for years to come.

In her videoMichelle Spieler (@maturemakeupmasterclass) demonstrated the beauty technique for her followers.

The TikToker, who specializes in makeup looks for mature skin, revealed the common mistake people make that causes them to age.

“Women over 50 never contour the temples, that's where we're eroding,” Michelle explained.

She offered an alternative product to apply to the temples and said it would add volume to your face.

“So in those areas we're going to lighten and brighten, because it immediately adds volume to any hollow area,” she told her viewers.

Michelle demonstrated her trick on one side of her face as she created a signature contour on her opposite temple.

'You see? Look at that fullness, look at this side, it's full and round,” she noted.

The beauty enthusiast turned her head to reveal the other half of her face.

“Look this way, it's dark, Skeletor,” she said, referring to the comic book villain from the Marvel Universe.

As his name implies, Skeletor resembles a living skeleton with only a skull for a head.

Michelle described the look as a 'contour no-no' and warned her more mature audience against blindly following make-up trends.

“Be careful who you listen to,” she said.

Michelle's followers shared their thoughts on the advice in the comments section.
