This handy hack comes in handy when you’re trying to save a few pounds but don’t want to miss out on your favorite burger. However, the fast food giant increased the price of its Food for Thought offering from £1.99 to £2.99 earlier this month. Despite the recent £1 increase, customers can still save money compared to buying a Big Mac and fries normally. The meal usually costs €5.29, so you save €2.30 through the offer, which is still a saving that is worth it.
How can I get a McDonald’s Big Mac and fries for £2.99?
You will need a previous McDonald’s receipt from a visit no more than 60 days old. If you don’t have one, you can just quickly buy a cheap item and get a coupon. A 12-digit code will be printed on it and then all you have to do is go to the McDonald’s “Food for Thought” website and complete a short survey about your recent trip. You will then receive a five-digit code, which is your voucher for the €2.99 offer. The code can be used at any McDonald’s branch to get a Big Mac and fries for £2.99.

You have 60 days from the time you receive a receipt to claim your voucher. You will then need a new receipt with a new 12-digit code. Once you have your five-digit code, you will be given a new personal expiration date on which to use it.
