The brand new Cake Bars are available in two tantalizing and nostalgic flavours: Eton Mess and Lemon Meringue.

Sweet tooths who love to reminisce can indulge in the Eton Mess Cake Bar, a strawberry flavored cake bar filled with light and fluffy cream, crispy meringue pieces and a decadent milk chocolate coating.

Those looking for a refreshing hint of citrus can opt for the Lemon Meringue Cake Bar, featuring a zesty lemon sponge filled with zesty lemon cream, as well as crunchy meringue swirls and sugar pearls, coated in rich milk chocolate.

Both flavors come in packs of five, each individually wrapped, making them the perfect on-the-go snack.

McVitie’s is also releasing a limited edition Iced Gems Candy Floss flavor in a playful twist on a classic family favorite.

McVitie’s Cake Bars will be available in UK supermarkets from March 18.

The Iced Gems Candy Floss will hit Icelandic shelves from March 25, with other supermarkets to follow from April.

Adam Wolf, Marketing Director at McVitie’s said: “We’re really excited to introduce two new additions to the McVitie’s family that are perfect for summer snacking.

“We know our consumers love classic, nostalgic flavors, so we created these new products with that in mind.

“They are the perfect sweet treat to enjoy with friends and family.”

It comes after biscuit fans received mixed reviews of a re-released McVitie’s treat – with some labeling it as “disappointing”.

But others were devastated to discover the bike had already disappeared from the shelves when it returned with a new prescription after being withdrawn almost two decades ago.

McVities White Chocolate Digestive was first released as a limited edition candy in 2005.

Then, in 2023, a yet another version was released – with the British rushing to get their hands on one.

The cookie has the classic digestive base and is covered in a layer of white chocolate – and costs less than €2 for 15.

During an episode of Channel 4’s Inside McVities at Christmas, the bicky brand opened up about getting the digestive products into stores.

It was revealed they had staff analyzing Britons’ reactions on social media – which proved polarising.

Some people weren’t fans – including one woman who said the ratio of chocolate to cookies was good.

She said in a TikTok video: “That’s so disappointing.

“I literally get the tiniest piece of white chocolate. All I taste is digestion.”
