Megan Barton Hanson says she ‘cried more than ever’ during her trip to Marbella as she shares cryptic messages

Megan Barton Hanson revealed that she “cried” during most of her lavish Marbella getaway when she shared a cryptic post about “toxic” friends on Instagram on Tuesday.

The former Love Island bombshell, 29, admitted she was so upset her ‘eyes looked like she was high’ from all the crying as she vows to only surround herself with ‘real friends’.

Megan, who has been in Spain for a month, said she thought she would return to the UK ‘completely happy’ from the ‘little slump’ she was in before.

In addition to a gallery of stunning snaps from her journey, Megan said, despite not being amazingly happy, she’s made “some huge accomplishments.”

She wrote: ‘MARBELLA – I’ve always been told I have high expectations and I did for this trip…

‘Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had some amazing days with the most extraordinary of people, but I honestly thought I’d return home after a month and be completely happy and refreshed from the little slump I was in.

“Instead, I screamed in there more than I ever did before, spent half the trip with eyes that looked like I was high.” Despite not being 100% happy right now, I’ve come to some huge realizations.

Family is so much more important to me than I ever realized ❤️. It’s better to be alone than surrounded by toxic unhappy people. How important true friends are, how nice it is to be surrounded by positive, sweet, inspiring people.’

She continued, “There are more important things than having a flat stomach and doing cardio daily. You don’t need to have all the answers NOW, be kind to yourself and just try to improve a little every day. Don’t have such ridiculously high expectations (maybe).

In the snaps shared along with the cryptic post, Megan once again let the temperatures rise as she put on a leggy display in a blue dress.

She posed up a storm for a mirror selfie while showing off her incredible figure in the off-the-shoulder number that boasted a striking draped skirt.

The OnlyFans star added inches to her frame in a pair of sky-high gold heels and lugged her belongings around in a coordinated bag.

She styled her long blonde locks in luxurious waves as they fell past her shoulders and adorned with huge gold heart-shaped earrings.

The TV personality gave a peek inside her huge villa in a final photo and uploaded several scenic shots of Marbella’s Old Town.

Her latest holiday comes after Megan did little to quell rumors of a reunion with her ex-boyfriend James Lock over a boozy lunch in Marbella.

Then tongues started wagging the pair were spotted in April looking very cozy, but James confirmed to MailOnline that the pair are “just friends.”

Then, last month she certainly didn’t act like friends on a Sunday afternoon as they got hot and heavy in Marbella.

James – who has been dating the Love Island beauty on and off since October 2021 – said they still meet occasionally and “enjoy each other’s company” but insisted they wouldn’t get back together.

The reality star revealed that Megan is “very much doing her own thing” these days and he’s very “happy” with his.

“It’s not like you talk to an ex and you get back with them, people jump to conclusions. She’s very much doing her thing, I’m doing my thing and we’re both happy and that’s the most important thing.”

Megan and James have been romantically linked since October 2021, when they were captured at Mayfair’s Amazonico restaurant, but broke up just two months later.

They’ve been known for their rocky relationship ever since – on and off constantly for a few years.

It comes after Megan and Demi Sims’ recent romantic bond — after the bombshell admitted she wanted her next relationship to be with a “dominant woman.”
