“They know that their father became a legend, a down-to-earth father, and I overcame so many obstacles to be the man I am today,” he said. Us. “I think they will be very inspired by their father’s progress and journey. I think I’ll wait until they’re probably 18 [to let them read the book].”

Romeo and Mia are already social media stars with very popular Instagram accounts run by their parents. “Both of my kids are verified,” Mike teased. “Romeo has almost half a million followers, but I’m probably not going to give that up [the account] him until he is 16 or 18.”

In addition to his struggles with substances, Mike’s book is also about his time behind bars. After failing to pay $8.9 million in taxes, he pleaded guilty to tax evasion in October 2018 and subsequently served an eight-month prison sentence. He was released in September 2019 and hopes sharing his story will help others get through difficult times.
