The cast of Millie Bobby Brown and Stranger Things are preparing to film the fifth and final season, starting in early 2024
Stranger Things will begin production on their fifth and final season in early January 2024.
Rumor has it that the target start date will be sometime the week after the New Year on January 5th or the beginning of the following week on January 8th.
The main cast and crew for the hit Netflix series are reportedly already in Atlanta, doing prep work before the cameras start rolling, according to reports Deadline.
The outlet also reported that the actors will be doing table reads in the coming weeks.
Production on season five was previously set to begin earlier this year before plans were abruptly halted due to the WGA strike, which began on May 2.

The scripts were ready at the time, but the Duffer brothers – the creators, executive producers and showrunners behind Stranger Things – opted to delay production because they wanted writers on set during filming.
Then production was further delayed by the actors’ strike.
On November 8, SAG-AFTRA and the studios reached a tentative agreement to end the strike at midnight that day.
David Harbor told People how he got a call the next day about starting production immediately.
“They literally called me… 10 minutes after the SAG thing on Twitter,” he explained.
‘The first [assistant director] is like, ‘So, get the flight for you on Monday, right? We’re performing in Atlanta,'” he recalled.
In addition to Harbour, the original cast of Stranger Things also includes Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton.
Earlier this year, Brown – the 19-year-old star whose fame began when she started playing Eleven at the age of 12 – admitted she’s ready for Stranger Things to end.

After saying she was ready to say ‘goodbye’ and ‘go away’, insiders exclusively told DailyMail.com that crew members were ‘disappointed’ at her lack of ‘respect’ for the series which was ‘made for career’.
Despite everything, the source said the crew “all loves her.”
“These comments won’t leave a bad taste in their mouths for too long because by the time they start filming and finish the show, this will be a long time in the rearview mirror,” the insider noted.
