A SELF-MADE millionaire in his 20s says he learned how to make a fortune by watching YouTube videos.
Kasra Dash, 26, struggled with school and went to college, but credits his vast knowledge to years of learning online on his own.
The Manchester man, who emigrated to Britain from Iran at the age of three, now has a net worth of £3million.
He was just a teenager when he decided to take a ‘fake it ’til you make it’ approach to building a life for himself.
Kasra learned about digital marketing and watched endless hours of tutorials and lectures on YouTube by people who knew how to make money with SEO – before putting his findings into practice.
He said: ‘Education wasn’t my forte, I always struggled with it, but I still got things done.

“Growing up, my family wasn’t rich, we didn’t have a lot of money, and I learned to work hard for the things I wanted.”
Business-minded from an early age, Kasra had to get creative in his youth to find the means to pursue his passions, including graphic design.
His father lent him some money so he could buy cars at Gumtree auctions for £400 to £500, after which he would fix them up in his parents’ driveway and sell them for a profit.
Kasra explained: “That was mine take first about digital marketing; I would market the cars online and make good money from it.
“I bought my first computer with the money and then started doing web design.
“I blogged that I had experience and then taught myself how to do everything on YouTube.
“I just learned it on the internet and taught myself the trade.”
He continued his part-time job while studying interactive media marketing at Edinburgh Napier University, but felt he already knew much of what was taught in the course, being ‘self-taught via YouTube’.
The money continued to flow in when Kasra graduated from his course in 2018 and started investing what he had already earned from his ventures.
He initially made money through web design, but he said he made most of his money by “sharing knowledge” as a consultant.
Kasra then bought a link building agency and invested in a software company, recently valued at £4.6 million.
These days he travels the world speaking at events and conferences – sometimes being one of the youngest guys in the room.
Last month he was in Dubai. Next one month he will be in Vietnam, and in June he will be in Estonia and Germany.
The millionaire assured that despite his unusual circumstances he has not missed the traditional experiences of being in his twenties, saying: “I work very hard, but I also party hard.
“But I’d rather have a huge blowout with friends every three months than party every weekend.
“I set goals for myself, like going to the gym every day for two months, and then I reward myself by going on vacation.”
