No one knows for sure whether Ms Simran had consented in advance to her likeness being used in the Deep Fake AI rendering of Kaavaalaa. She also shared it on her social media pages (sic).”

In a country where women’s bodies are exploited every day, Deep Fake will be the next weapon they use to attack and harass people. blackmailing girls to extort, blackmail and rape; Their ignorant families in a small village or town will not understand when the so-called moonam / or honor is at stake. Lending apps harass female borrowers with photoshopped images of their faces over pornographic photos, and they can’t handle it. But a Deep Fake will be harder to spot for the usual, untrained eye.”
“Not everyone has high-resolution screens. I really hope that there will be a national awareness campaign that can start quickly to educate the general public about the dangers of deepfakes for girls and to report incidents instead of taking matters into their own hands,” she concluded.
