Nagpur SHOCKER: Youth rapes teenager, Films Act, sends video to victim’s father; Arrested
A 16-year-old girl was raped in Nagpur by her 20-year-old ‘boyfriend’ on the pretext of marriage, who also filmed the act and sent the video to her father.
Rape in Nagpur: In a shocking and shameful incident, a teenage girl allegedly raped her alleged ‘boyfriend’, who also filmed the act and later forwarded a video clip of the alleged assault to the victim’s father in Maharashtra’s Nagpur.
According to police, the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Prajyot Harihar Baondole, allegedly raped the 16-year-old victim on the pretext of marriage and also filmed the assault on his mobile phone. The suspect then sent the video clip to the girl’s father via messaging app WhatsApp after his relationship with the victim soured, police said.
Giving details, an official said Baondole, a resident of Shanti Nagar area, had been in a relationship with the teenager for a few months but it had soured recently.
“He promised to ‘marry’ her, recently became intimate with the minor and filmed the act. The suspect, a B.Com student, then forwarded the clip to her father via WhatsApp,” the official said.
A complaint was filed against the accused by the girl’s father, pursuant to which the accused was arrested and charged with rape under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act ), according to the police.
The suspect has also been booked under the IT Act, they said, adding that further investigation in the case is underway.
Woman raped, filmed in Ghaziabad by man with false identity
In a similar incident, a woman in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh was allegedly raped and filmed by a man who befriended her using a fake identity.
According to police, the woman alleged that the man introduced himself as Ankit, a Hindu, and claimed to work as a salesman in Noida. However, it was later revealed that his real name is Talib Hasan, a Muslim.
Hasan, who was arrested by police, also allegedly clicked objectionable videos and photos of the woman who threatened to post them on social media, an official said.
In her complaint, the woman alleges that the man called her to a hotel a few months ago and raped her.
“The suspect took videos and clicked pictures with the woman in an objectionable condition. An FIR was filed on Saturday based on the complaint lodged by the victim at Crossings Republic police station,” said ACP (Wave City) Saloni Agarwal.
The victim also alleged that the accused had threatened to share her obscene videos and photos on social media if she did not give in to her demands, Agarwal added.
The suspect hails from Moradabad district and was currently living in Khoda Colony in Ghaziabad, police said.
