Her sudden announcement that she had become a mother again at age 53 left Naomi Campbell’s fans wondering how she did it.
After all, just over a week ago she was seen without a bump at a Louis Vuitton fashion show in Paris.
And now friends of the supermodel, 53, say she used a surrogate to have the baby boy last Saturday — just four days after she was spotted at the French party.
The Daily Mail also understands that Naomi’s child was born in Los Angeles.
A source close to the star revealed, “Naomi welcomed her newborn son via surrogate, who gave birth on Saturday in Los Angeles.”

A source close to the star revealed: ‘Naomi has welcomed her newborn son via surrogate, who gave birth in Los Angeles on Saturday’
They added: ‘It came as a surprise to her wider circle after telling only a handful of people that she was going to be a mother for the second time.
Suddenly she put off a work commitment because she had to be by her surrogate’s side and the very next moment she had a beautiful baby boy. There was a lot of surprise and of course happiness.’
Naomi announced on Instagram that she welcomed a baby boy and posted a photo of her son in her arms and her two-year-old daughter in both hands.
Her surrogate gave birth in Los Angeles on Saturday, as insiders claim she told only “a handful of close friends and family” about her plans to have another child.
The model told her 15.2 million Instagram followers on Thursday, “My little darling, know that you have been cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence.
“A true gift from God. Blessed! Welcome little boy. It’s never too late to become a mother.’
The Daily Mail understands that the mother-of-two is raising her children alone and is not in a romantic relationship.
Her celebrity friends in the fashion industry and beyond flocked to her profile to wish them their congratulations, including designers Donatella Versace and Marc Jacobs, singer Kelly Rowland, and fellow 90s model Cindy Crawford.

Naomi never revealed how her daughter was born, but rather hinted that she may have used a surrogate, saying that science has given her the chance to start a family “whenever she wants.”
She became a mother to her firstborn in May 2021, whose name remains unknown, later confirming, “She’s not adopted — she’s my child.”
The British fashion icon is said to be saving the rest of the details about her journey to motherhood for her book, which she’s yet to get started, but hopes will show there’s no limit to what women can achieve.
In an interview with Vogue magazine in February 2022, Ms. Campbell said of motherhood, “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”
Following in her mother’s footsteps, her daughter has already appeared on the cover of British Vogue, along with her mother during the spring edition.
A source told the Daily Mail on Thursday: ‘This is what Naomi has always wanted. She is so very happy.
‘She’s so excited to have her little girl a brother. She looks forward to the coming years with so much pride.’
Naomi has previously had high-profile romances with the likes of rapper Skepta, actor Leonardo DiCaprio, and billionaire Vladislav Doronin.
A spokeswoman for Ms Campbell declined to comment.
