NBA G League player Chance Comanche is arrested by the FBI in connection with the mysterious disappearance of Washington’s Marayna Rodgers in Las Vegas

- Stockton Kings center Comanche, 27, was arrested Friday and charged with first-degree kidnapping
- The G-League star is one of two people due to appear in court on Tuesday accused of kidnapping Marayna
The hunt for a missing medical assistant has taken a dramatic turn with the arrest of NBA G League star Chance Comanche on charges of first-degree kidnapping.
Marayna Rogers, 23, disappeared on December 6 while visiting Las Vegas from her home in Washington state.
She was last seen getting into a car with her friend Sakari Harnden, 19, who was also arrested on kidnapping charges on December 13.
Harnden has been charged with “restraining Rogers against her will and without her consent with the intent to kill and/or inflict bodily harm on her.”
Comanche, 27, was seized by the FBI on Friday and booked into the Sacramento County Jail on the same charges.
Comanche was drafted out of the University of Arizona and played in 24 games over the past two seasons with the Stockton Kings, who are affiliated with the Sacramento Kings
“She left both her dogs, her car and all her belongings behind, making it very unlikely that she disappeared alone,” friend Tremaine McAdams wrote on a gofundme page
“Marayna has a boyfriend, family, friends, two dogs and works as a surgical tech back home in Washington,” she added
The Stockton Kings center, who has 13 appearances this season, Comanche was in Portland, Oregon, for the Kings’ game against Rip City Remix the day before Rodgers’ disappearance.
On December 12, he was back in California and played in Stockton’s home loss to Salt Lake City.
A friend of Rogers who has a GoFundMe appeal To pay for private investigators to help with the search, she said she was taking an Uber to Summerlin on the city’s west side when she disappeared.
“She never made it to Summerlin and was discovered missing the next morning, when neither her boyfriend nor close friends had heard from her,” Tremaine McAdams wrote.
“Marayna has a boyfriend, family, friends, two dogs and works as a surgical technician back home in Washington,” she added.
“Her location was shared with several friends and family and was last seen at a separate location in Las Vegas on December 12 at 2:59 am.
‘The last known location is concerning because it is close to the highway that goes to both Reno and California.
‘She left both her dogs, her car and all her belongings behind, making it very unlikely that she disappeared on her own.
“She also had no cash or debit card at the time of her disappearance.”

Comanche was drafted out of the University of Arizona and played in 24 games over the past two seasons with the Kings, a developmental affiliate of the Sacramento Kings.
The 6-foot-1 power forward has played 321 minutes this season and recorded 182 points, 15 assists and 91 rebounds.
Harnden is also charged with theft for allegedly stealing a Rolex and was booked into the Clark County Jail on $500,000 bail, where she will appear in court on Tuesday for theft and on December 28 for kidnapping.
Las Vegas District Court Judge Diana Sullivan ordered high-level electrical surveillance if she posts bail and asked the state to “immediately notify the Court if the alleged victim is located alive.”
Comanche was denied bail and will appear in Sacramento County District Court on Tuesday.
The Stockton Kings released him within hours of his arrest.
