According to an official, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has taken the decision to REDUCE the NEET PG 2024 exam fee by Rs 750 for candidates belonging to all categories.
New Delhi: One of the largest and most widely conducted competitive exams in India includes the exam for those who want to become medical professionals, namely the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. (NOT). Candidates preparing for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Post Graduate (NEET PG 2024)were recently informed about the NEET PG 2024 Exam Postponement and now, in a latest update, it has been said that the NEET PG 2024 exam fee is reduced by Rs 750. This fee revision is applicable to candidates belonging to any category. Read in detail to know the changes made in the NEET PG 2024 Fee Structure and other important details regarding the exam.
NEET PG 2024 exam fee reduced by Rs 750
As mentioned earlier, the NEET PG 2024 exam fees have been reduced by Rs 750 for all candidates i.e. candidates in all categories. To help many candidates appearing for the exam, the National Medical Sciences Examination Board (NBEMS) has taken this decision. The rate reduction applies to all candidates who submit their application form after January 1, 2024.
NEET PG 2024 New Exam Fee – Category-wise List
Below is the list of NEET PG 2024 exam fees, for candidates belonging to different categories.
- NEET PG 2024 exam fee for general category: Rs 3,500
- NEET PG 2024 exam fee for OBC category: Rs 3,500
- NEET PG 2024 exam fee for SC category: Rs 2,500
- NEET PG 2024 exam fee for ST category: Rs 2,500
- NEET PG 2024 exam fee for PWD category: Rs 2,500
The NEET PG exam fee for general and OBC category candidates was Rs 3,750 in 2013 and subsequently increased to Rs 4,250 in the year 2021. For SC, ST and PWD categories, the application fee was Rs 2,750 in 2013 and was increased to Rs 3,250 in the year 2021.
NEET PG 2024 exam date
After a long wait, it was announced by the authorities that the NEET PG 2024 exam date has been postponed to July 7, 2024 and the NEET PG 2024 counseling is expected to begin in the first week of August. Seeing this, students also demanded postponement of NEET MDS 2024 exam in July but that did not happen.
NEET PG 2024 exam pattern
Talking about the exam pattern, the NEET PG 2024 will be held online in Computer Based Testing (CBT) mode and the duration of the exam is three hours and thirty minutes. The exam is conducted ONLY in English and candidates must answer a total of 200 questions. The NEET PG 2024 Question Paper has Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and is divided into a total of three sections:
- Part A: This part includes the subjects – Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry.
- Part B: This section includes pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, forensic medicine and social and preventive medicine.
- Part C: The last part of the article covers general medicine including dermatology and venereology and psychiatry, general surgery including orthopedics, anesthesia and radiodiagnosis, obstetrics and gynaecology, pediatrics, ENT and ophthalmology.
