NEET PG 2024 exam date: The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) exam is tentatively scheduled to be conducted on March 3, 2024, as per the NBEMS exam calendar 2024. However, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Postgraduate exam is likely to be conducted in in the first week of July and the counseling in the first week of August, sources told news agency PTI on Saturday. Regulations for postgraduate medical education, 2023
As per the recently published ‘Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023’, which replaced the Post-Graduate Medical Education (Amendment) Regulations, 2018, the existing NEET-PG exam will continue until the proposed NExT becomes operational in view on PG admission. “Provided that until the first batch is eligible for admission to broad specialist courses on the basis of National Exit Test (NExT), the existing system of admission through National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG) as per Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulation, 2000 (PGMER-2000) will continue,” reads the Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023.
Why is the NEET PG exam held?

Last year, the National Board of Medical Science, New Delhi opened the application process on January 7, 2023; in which candidates were allowed to submit the application form till January 27, 2023. Based on the pattern of the past year, it is expected that the registration for NEET PG 2024 is likely to start around January 7, i.e. in the first week of January 2024.
