A NIGHTMARE neighbor who built ‘Britain’s largest man cave’ has been given permission to build a second adjacent ‘party house’ as a holiday let.

Millionaire Graham Wildin, 70, defied court orders and even served jail time amid seething protest from residents over his 10,000 sq ft leisure complex at his home in Cinderford, Gloucestershire.

The hedonistic space was built in 2014 despite complaints about parking issues, bubbling hot tubs and screeching saxophone playing.

The striking man cave had a bowling alley, casino and cinema, but never received planning permission.

However, the pensioner has now been given the temporary green light for an adjacent ‘party house’ in his six-bedroom property.

Paradise Trustees, who the Local Democracy Reporting Service says are related to Mr Wildin, have applied to the Forest of Dean District Council.

They requested retroactive permission to convert the use of the home into a holiday rental.

According to the LDRS, a handful of local residents and Cinderford Town Council opposed the development management committee on Wednesday.

Despite the concerns, district councilors recommended that the plans be temporarily approved until January 2026.

They said it will be able to properly assess the highway impact and noise effects of its use.

It comes after a landowner threatened with jail unless he demolishes two family homes he built without planning permission has been branded ‘arrogant’.

Michael Merrill, 51, built two timber-clad properties on his land in the rural village of Wirsall, Cheshire, one for his immediate family and one for his in-laws.

Neighbors have criticized the father for openly defying planning laws in the decade-long battle with Cheshire East Council.

One said: “He is arrogant.

‘He thinks the planning laws don’t apply to him and he can do whatever he wants.

“This has been a real saga and it seems to continue.”
