As leaders of political parties met in Parliament here on Saturday to discuss the agenda for the winter session starting Monday, opposition leaders demanded an English nomenclature for the three bills seeking to replace the penal laws, while also raising issues of price hike and ‘abuse’ of investigative agencies were raised. and Manipur.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said the government assured at the meeting that it is ready for discussion on all issues. However, he said the opposition must provide a conducive environment for discussion.

The winter session of Parliament starts on December 4 and will have fifteen sessions until December 22. During this term, it is expected to deal with important bills, including three bills to replace colonial-era criminal laws.
