The upcoming fifth season of The ultimate girls trip from Real Housewives has been surrounded by controversy since the film’s release earlier this year, but Phaedra Parks don’t understand the problem.
“Nothing [happened],” the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 50, told exclusively We weekly at BravoCon on Saturday, November 4, when asked what happened in between Brandi Glanville And Caroline Manzo. “So let’s spin the tires! I was there and honey, I was sober. Sober, sober. I really don’t drink, so I’ve seen it all.
In January, reports circulated that both Brandi, 50, and Caroline, 62, left production in Morocco early after Brandi allegedly kissed Caroline without her consent. Bravo and Shed Media, the company that produces the show, later said the incident had been investigated.
“The safety and security of cast and crew during filming is extremely important and we take all reports seriously,” the February statement said. “In this situation, production immediately launched a comprehensive review and took appropriate measures.”
In March, Brandi, who played the lead role, appeared The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on and off from seasons 2 through 10 – claiming that she and Caroline were both “very drunk” at the time of the incident.
“I can speak about anything I want to speak about,” she tweeted at the time. “It was after 6 p.m [work] day at our belly dancing party and I would like to see footage of it. … “I’m fucking tired of this story. I was hired for a second season of a girls’ trip because they loved what I did in the first season. I was told to bring the party just like before and that’s exactly what I did and I was punished for it. It feels like Af-King has been set up. It’s BS and Caroline was fine.”
Caroline, meanwhile, has not publicly commented on the details of the incident, only saying it was “very traumatic” during an April interview on Tamra Judge And Teddi Mellencamp‘Two Ts in a Pod’ podcast.
However, Phaedra’s account of the interaction differs greatly from both Caroline and Brandi’s versions of events.
‘It was a Harlequin romance. Love was winning,” she said Us. “I’m excited for you all to see it, because you have to see it for yourself – because it’s absolutely over the top.”
While some fans have theorized that Bravo is planning to cancel the entire season, Phaedra doesn’t think that’s the case. “Hopefully we’ll see it at the top of the year,” she said Us. Andy Cohen sent a similar message during his “Ask Andy” panel at BravoCon on Friday, November 3.
The Morocco season was originally set to air as Season 4, but Bravo has since confirmed that the RHONY Legacy season airs first. That season – starring Real Housewives of New York City alums Luann de Lesseps, Kristen Taekman, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan And Dorinda Medley — premieres on Peacock Thursday, December 14.
